Cardiovascular Center at Hunterdon Medical Center Opens

Hunterdon Healthcare celebrated the opening of the Norman and Denise Guilloud Cardiovascular Center at Hunterdon Medical Center on Friday, June 12, 2015.  The event was attended by NK President Stephen P. Aluotto, Jay Beispiel, Michael Gorman and Marcella Cassanelli, as well Hunterdon Healthcare President and CEO Robert P. Wise, Stockton residents Norman and Denise Guilloud (for whom the center was named), hospital staff, and members of the community.

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in the county as well as the entire U.S.  The new cardiovascular center, as designed by NK Architects, combines advances in 21st century cardiovascular medicine with an extraordinary team of cardiac specialists in one centralized location.

The new 40,000 square foot center encompasses two additional floors built on top of the existing medical center.  The space includes two new cardiac catheterization labs, a cardiac critical care unit, 20 private patient rooms, expanded spaces for existing services, and state-of-the-art cardiopulmonary rehabilitation services. The new center expects to be accepting patients as of July 1, 2015.
